Our YMCA is committed to partnering and collaborating with others to create and deliver lasting personal and social change in the 15 communities we are privileged to serve.
Our commitment to collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. We strive to bring community together to live healthier lifestyles, to bring community together to nurture the potential of our children, and to bring community together in the name of social responsibility advocating inclusion, diversity and acceptance.
At the Y, strengthening the community is our cause. Every day, we work side by side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, background, or ability, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

It is only through generous donors like you, that we are able to make dreams a reality at the Y. Your financial support directly impacts the lives of children and families right in your own community. We passionately believe that our cause is our community and we strive to better our community in three vital categories:
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT Because we nuture the potential of every teen. We are proud to help kids build confidence and discover the world around them; from the youngest in our child care programs, to youth in our summer camps, to teens in our leadership development initiatives.
HEALTHY LIVING Because living a healthy lifestyle means living a full, productive life. The Y brings people together, helping thousands of health seekers receive the support and resources they need to strenghten their physical and intellectual health.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Because we strive to be there for our neighbors and our community. With your help, we welcome more than 15,000 people into our Y family through financial assistance and program subsidies. We believe it only takes one person to start a movement, and it starts here and now.
The Reach Out for Youth and Families Annual Campaign is the primary vehicle in subsidizing confidential scholarship assistance and subsidized programs. Funds raised provide confidential scholarship assistance, giving Y experiences including summer camp, child care and teen programs to local children and families in need. Subsidized programs include our LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, our YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program, our Integration Initiative, and our Teen Centers and Programs
At Y events, all proceeds benefit the Hockomock Area YMCA financial assistance programs, raising funds for vital Community Initiatives and providing scholarships for children and families to participate in life-changing experiences at the Y. Whether raising funds for specific initiatives through events like our Legends Ball (for our Integration Initiative) or for the overall support of the Reach Out for Youth and Families Campaign, our events are fun celebrations where cause meets community.
The Heritage Club honors all those who have included the Hockomock Area YMCA in their estate plans or have made an outright gift to the Y’s endowment fund. The foresight and generosity of these special people will impact our Y and our community for generations to come.
Through the targeted, transformational investments of Hockomock Area YMCA donors, we have been able to build our full-facility branches and move capital projects from vision to reality.
Key recent projects made possible through the thoughtful and generous support of members of our YMCA family include:
